Research interests: Work-Life Balance, Organisational Justice, Employee Fairness Perceptions and Claiming Behaviour.
Colette holds a Bachelor of Business Studies in Human Resource Management from Trinity College Dublin and a Masters in Business Studies in HRM from the University of Limerick. She recently completed her PhD while studying at the University of Limerick which sought to understand and explain those variables likely to impact upon an individual employee's fairness perception in relation to the termination of their employment and to subsequently determine those factors likely to predict claiming behaviour.
Dr. Darcy is currently working alongside Dr. Alma McCarthy on a research project funded by the Irish Research Council to investigate work-life balance perceptions, outcome and policy implications. This project seeks to investigate work life balance perceptions, outcomes and policy implications at the individual, organisational and social level using an interdisciplinary international framework.
Prior to returning to academia Dr. Darcy worked as a human resource consultant with an international consultancy firm. During this time Colette managed numerous national and international projects across both the public and private sectors.
