Research interests: People management and organisational performance, Social partnership, Systems of employee voice and employee involvement, HRM in SMEs, Non-union industrial relations

Prior to Tony�s position at NUI Galway he was a lecturer in the Employment Studies Group at Manchester School of Management, UMIST, where he was also the Programme Director for the PricewaterhouseCoopers Post-Graduate Diploma and MSc in Human Resource Management. Tony is currently Research Director for High Performance Work Systems (HPWS) at the Centre for Innovation and Structural Change (CISC) at NUI Galway. He is a member of the British Universities Industrial Relations Association (BUIRA) and Chair of the International Section of the American Industrial Relations Research Association (IRRA). Tony is also a national moderator for the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD).
