Will Geoghegan joined CISC as a recipient of a Ph.D. Studentship in the Industrial Clustering group at NUI Galway in October 2003, having previously worked as a research assistant and part-time lecturer in the Department of Management at NUI Galway.. Will Geoghegan's MBS thesis at NUI Galway examined the Key Success Factors involved in Strategic Repositioning. This was preceded by the award of B.Comm. (Int.) degree, with Spanish taken as a major and Marketing studied as a secondary subject, also at NUI Galway.
